Handbound journal / notebook / diary/ cyanotype feather design

Notebook/ journal with an original cyanotype print cover in a feather design and brass book corners. This book is perfect for making notes, sketching or as a diary.

Cyanotype is a photographic process where two chemicals, when mixed, become light sensitive and can be used to create photographs using sunlight. 

In this design feathers were used to mask the area and those parts remained pale whilst the other areas developed a darker blue colour. 

This book cover uses wet cyanotype techniques where the area is made wet and treated with acid or alkali liquids to create different effects.
